Dates have been set for the Presidio Fine Arts Festival. The festival will open on Friday, April 5, and continue through Saturday, April 6. More information about the festival will be available soon on this Web site. Please check back frequently. Mardi Gras
A bi-national celebration between the communities of Ojinaga and Presidio, this event includes a city-wide parade through the middle of town. Held the Saturday before Fat Tuesday. Please contact the Consulate of Mexico at 432-229-2788

Cinco de Mayo
The annual celebration of Mexico’s defeat of French forces at the Battle of Puebla translates to revelry in Presidio. Every May 5th, parades, dance performances, picnics and more can be expected.

4th of July
The annual celebration held at Daly Park invites the whole family to a day of colorful and exited event. It usually starts around noon with food, drinks, live music and a 10:00pm our traditional fireworks display, sponsored by The City of Presidio and the Presidio Emergency Services. Come and enjoy a fabulous day in the Sun and if you are a vendor please contact City Hall for arrangements at 432-229-3517

 

Santa Theresa de Jesus Bazaar

October 14 & 15, 2013

Every year the church committee hosts a two day celebration with taditional food arts and crafts and the now traditional dance hosted by various musicians. Every year the church has their raffle, and all the proceeds go directly to the church’s insurance and needs. Please help this yearly event in October 13th and 14th.

The Border Zone International UFO Festival October 20,21, 2013

Called “Mexico’s Roswell”, the Coyome Crash of 1974 happened close to Presido, Texas & Ojinaga Mexico.  This Major UFO event is documented in the book “Roswell’s Mexico” by Noe Torres and Ruben Uriate and and featured on the History Channel’s, UFO Hunters Series.  Lots of information can be found on the Internet about this significant UFO crash and recovery by Mexican and US Armed Forces of the downed flying saucer.   Links to the Internet sites on Mexico’s Roswell the can be found easily by visiting UFOborderzone.com.   There will be activities on both sides of the border so… BRING YOUR PASSPORT!.  Activities planned include the 5th Annual DUDE OF THE DEAD Music Festival at The Presidio Drag Race Track.  Camping is available at the Concert or in various locations.  The (PAC) Presidio Activity Center will be the location for the Border Zone Lecture Series. You Never Know What You will See In The Dark Skies of Presidio year round.

The lighting of the Christmas Tree December, 2013
Every year The City of Presidio and The Consulate Mexico join for the lighting of the Bi-national Christmas tree. This event is held at the intersection of O’Reilly And Erma Streets starting with the now traditional Lighted Parade. In this festivity you can enjoy the delicious Tamales and Traditionous drinks like Champurrado and sweets. Come and enjoy
